Class Demonstrations
Demo 1: PicCollage App
I demonstrated this app on my iPad to the class on September 25th. This app can be used to create collages with photos, words, backgrounds, stickers, etc. Personal photos can be taken instantly with the camera, uploaded from the library, or uploaded from Facebook. Photos can also be uploaded from search engines as well. Once pictures are on PicCollage the can easily be edited, clipped, repositioned, and resized. It is simple to add text to a collage as well. PicCollages can then be shared with others directly from the device or on Facebook. PicCollage is available for iPad, iPhone, and Android devices. For more information visit the PicCollage website.
Demo 2: EduCreations App
I made a Youtube video for the demonstration of the EduCreations App on my iPad. This app can be used to record someone writing and talking during a lesson. Tools such as markers, backgrounds, and photos can be used to construct a lesson. The record button will record all activity on the app and one's voice. Once a lesson is completed it can be shared with students through Facebook, Twitter, e-mail, or a web link. There is also access to lessons created by other teachers. These lessons can be downloaded and used in the classroom. Watch my demonstration video or visit the EduCreations website for more information.

Application of Classmates' Demonstrations
Glogster
This application can be accessed on the web and can be used in a variety of ways in the classroom. I have used it before to make an advertisement, a biography, picture collage, and an end of the unit project. Glogs are can be very helpful as you can add Youtube videos, sound, animations, pictures, text, and more to personalize it. They are fairly easy to use and are tons of fun to play around with. I will definitely consider asking my students to use Glogster for assignments similar to what I have done in the past. Here is my most recent glog that I used for a photo collage for Educational Psychology.
Prezi
Prezi is another free resource that is available on the web. This is a unique and creative way to present information. Alike Glogster, you can also add Youtube videos, text, and photos to your Prezi. I personally never used this before college, but have since found it a valuable resource. I find it fun to personalize and entertaining to watch. Here is a Prezi I made for Ed. Tech on Jean Piaget. I have also created another Prezi for my 4th Grade Language Arts Lesson/Technology Project 3.
Pinterest
Pinterest is a social network site that contains a wealth of knowledge concerning basically any topic you can think of. Pins consist of photos and links to sites that have ideas for you to use. If you find a pin you like and may use, you pin it to a board. Boards is how you organize your pins by placing them into categories. You then can look back on your boards to view your pins later. Pinterest does have various pins and boards to view about education. I have pinned several project ideas that I would like to use in the future. View my Pinterest account and my Education Board. A pinner by the name of Tina Wahlert also is great resource that I use for ideas concerning education. Check out her Pinterest page!
